Dr. Arlyn J. Melcher Arlyn has a B.S., two M.B.A.'s -- one from UCLA 1953 and one from University of Chicago, 1961, and a Ph.D., from the University of Chicago, 1964. He is a Professor in the Department of Management at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Publications include four books on organizational theory, articles on leadership, organization analysis, strategy formulation, production and theory building methodology. Current projects include articles developing a typology of organizational systems and several papers that bridge the MIS, organizational, production and strategy areas. He has been a consultant on organizational design and strategy formulation for a number of large scale organizations. He holds membership in the Network Register. International Directory of Business and Management Scholars and Research. Interests include traveling, literature, music, art, dance, theater, tennis and swimming. |
